Merry CHRISTmas!

Today in the town of David a savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.” Luke 2:11 (NIV)

May you celebrate the true meaning of the season!

Merry CHRISTmas!

If I ever...

If I ever see another Christmas cookie again before next Christmas, it will be too soon!

Cookie day 2010 was a success...and I still have a belly ache 3 days later.

On the list this year:
Glaser secret family recipe for spiced nuts
Heavenly chocolate balls
White chocolate dipped peppermint jo jos
Houck family recipe for Soda cracker toffee cookies

Julie and I baked and baked and baked while the kids were at school:

Then, when the kids got home from school, we busted out the sugar cookies for them to decorate:

We even made Brian decorate one since he was home. No one is left out on cookie day!

 Here are the adults creations:

And I had to take a pic of Julie. She is the bestest ball roller in all of Orange County
(keep your perverted comments to yourself...ha ha)

And then at 10:00pm our packages were assembled.
We could barely keep our eyes open!
Packages took up every single square inch of counter top.

The next day, tags were stamped and cookie packages were delivered to our loved ones.

We love this tradition and hope it brings great memories for our kids and friends.

And on a final note: Where is the alka seltzer???

Epic fail again!

Ok, who knew Brendan would lose another tooth just four days after the first one??? Seriously.

Of course, the tooth fairy was out of money yet again! Thankfully a family member came to the rescue, however, all they had was a ten dollar bill. Out of laziness, Bri and I didn't want to leave the house, so we gave B the $10. (and another family member gave an extra $2.00 too!) Everyone was pitching it. Boy did Brendan get lucky that night!

Brendan will certainly be disappointed the next time he loses a tooth! ha ha.

Look at that crazy hair! I love it in the morning.

Oh the rain...

5 days straight of rain without any breaks!
We got 5 minutes of blue skies so Brian and Brendan put on their shoes and went to battle.

FYI...that was Brian's drawing of a tarantula...ha ha.

 And the race started.

Daddy's got stuck and Brendan's was twirling in the stream.

And Brendan WINS!

That was the most fun we have had in the past 5 days!
I cannot wait to go outside again soon!

Only my son....

We bought this Lego advent calendar for Brendan for his birthday in October. I have been dying to bring it out. On Dec 1st I was like a little kid again. So far, it has been one of the greatest gifts! Every morning Brendan (and Brian and I!), look forward to opening a door and build a lego.

Dec 1st/ day 1-Apparently the snoman was a little to boring for B. He added a few accessories.

After seeing this picture and laughing:
Who wouldn't want a fire breathing, light saber fighting snowman to play with?

Kitty Kitten

Meet the newest member of the Glaser Family loving called Kitty Kitten.

We adopted him from the Irvine Shelter. Brendan found him within one minute of going there. Kitty Kitten at the time would not stop playing with Brendan's fingers. Brendan was instantly in love.

His real name was Howie, however, we felt he needed a new name. Brendan picked the name and it stuck. Kitty is a darling little boy. He is a great cuddler and let's Brendan pick him up at any time. A new phrase has emerged in our house, "Brendan!..Put down the Kitty!". He won't leave him alone.

Kitty is very active at night. Especially around 11pm and 3 am when he loves to bite our toes, sniff our eyeballs and scratch at the comforter (he thinks there are things moving in it).  He also sleeps with his tongue out. It's so cute!

It has been 5 years since we have had an animal at home and we are loving every minute of it.

Christmas Tag Party

One of my favorite nights of the year is our Christmas tag party. Everyone makes two tags for each person at the party. It is such a fun night.

Well, every year I wait until the last minute to make my tags. I promised myself this year would be different. And this year...it was different. My friend Julie and I dropped the kids off at school, poured the coffee and scrapped to our little hearts content...with no kids...it was glorious!

Here is a pic of us in our sweats and the table that looks as if a paper tornado hit it. I love it!

Where has the time gone?

The tooth fairy visited the Glaser house last night. My baby boy lost his first tooth!

We have been anticipating this day for a few weeks now. When it happened, Brendan freaked out a little bit and didn't know what to make of it. We freaked out as we spent the tooth fairy money the day before.

So...daddy tooth fairy saved the night and and drove through Jack and the Box at 10pm to get some cash. Brendan made out with $5.00 and daddy tooth fairy made out with a chocolate shake.

The tooth fairy left a $5.00 bill and a tooth book. We are documenting each day B looses a tooth in his new book.

As I look at these pictures, I think to myself:

"How did my baby boy get so old?"

"I love my son's crazy hair in the morning.", and

"What the heck does the tooth fairy do with the teeth?"

I have no idea!

It's been too long!

As I decided to end my other blog, I thought it would simplify my life, however, I never realized how much I loved blogging.

I think my brain is wired to blog. Every time something fun/significant happened, my brain would immediately go into blog mode. I would be sad that I couldn't document it.

So...with that said...Let's get this little blog rollin'.
